LIFE Timber for All welcomes CEGOR students to PEMADE
On 4 September, PEMADE welcomed students from the Advanced Specialisation Course in Rehabilitation Works Management (CEGOR), organised by Fundación Laboral de la Construcción.
During the visit, participants had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the products developed within the LIFE Timber for All project, as well as the long-term tests being carried out in PEMADE’s laboratories on mixed timber-concrete systems.
The visit allowed students to gain insight into the project’s technical advances and to see the work being carried out to validate new construction solutions based on the use of timber and low-carbon-footprint concrete. These lines of research aim to contribute to a more sustainable, industrialised construction sector aligned with the challenges of decarbonisation.
The programme also included a tour of the Impulso Verde building, where the construction solutions developed within the LIFE + Biodinámico project were presented. This visit highlighted the innovation applied to timber construction and the potential of this material as a structural resource in projects linked to sustainability, efficiency and the bioeconomy.
The visit included the participation of Manuel Guaita and José Antonio Lorenzana, who shared PEMADE’s experience and the progress of the projects developed by the team in the field of timber construction, structural research and knowledge transfer to the sector.
From LIFE Timber for All, we would like to thank the CEGOR team for their interest and participation in this exchange session, which reinforces the importance of bringing technical innovation closer to future professionals in rehabilitation and sustainable construction.
